In winter we look out our windows that are designed to keep the house cool and over the swimming pool, in which we take welcome summertime dips ‘ the summer scene making us feel even colder.
Now there is a new man at the helm, Kevin Shore. As an old boy and former teacher and deputy principal at St Augustine’s College, Mr Shore is familiar with Catholic education in Whanganui.
Through these opportunities we encourage the children to look at themselves ‘ the qualities they have and those they are yet to develop that will enable them to be leaders in their lives.
‘We know that there is very limited advice for people in our situation ‘ we could put ‘it’ in the rubbish or down the toilet. We did find that ‘it’ could be buried.’
Stewardship involves the realisation that everyone has gifts which God calls them to share for the good of everyone. In a parish community, people bring different gifts which, when combined, help the community to realise the Kingdom of God.
