Waikanae parish marks 25 years
Our Lady of Fatima parish had its origins in the oldest parish in the archdiocese, that of the historic parish of Otaki in the early 20th century. It became part of the Paraparaumu parish in 1951 and finally, in October 1982, the Waikanae parish became an independent entity.

Help for elderly needy
The provision of low-cost accommodation for the elderly has been a major task of the Vincentian Foundation, set up in 1976 to provide money in areas of needs in the New Zealand Catholic Church.
